Music Artist Poster

Above shows advertising for Lady Gaga's new single and it's video, from the middle on Times Square. It uses new promotional images from the new album, the video and also the single cover, which would attract people who weren't familiar with what they were. There is then the use of very bold, white on black, text that scrolled across the bottom with lyrics of the song. The main text used is the bold artists name, to inform the public of who they're advertising and also information of when and where to catch the video premiere and a large countdown, to increase anticipation and get people excited and talking about it.

The fact that this billboard is in the middle of Times Square in New York City means that it would grab a lot of people’s attention as it is a very big place. The use of new imagery would make people aware that there is new Lady Gaga music, which they'd probably then go and listen to, and the anticipation of the countdown, would mean they'd be aware of when the music video is released and they'd then be likely to watch it.
